My Uber has a blown out airbag

    1. There are a few hints that would make me feel uncomfortable driving with this person:

      1. the blown out airbag

      2. the toy section dangling from the keys onto their leg

      3. the phone mount that blocks a good portion of their view

I mean, we’re all free to do what we want, but 3 signs of a driver not caring too much about safety on the road would make me not want to ride with this person.

    2. Uber Support would be like “functional airbags are actually only included with an UberOne membership; you should upgrade today”

    3. Look

As long as I get to my destination and there’s not a single word spoken- 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Anyone when remember when Uber started as a “premium” alternative to taxis??

Now you can show up in an oil-burning shit box with stains on the seats and hints of vomit masked by the smell of weed.

And then flip off the customer when they don’t tip at least 30%.

Report to Uber. You’ll get a refund on the drive, the car will need to be inspected, and hopefully the driver will be banned because clearly (s)he doesn’t have your best interest at heart.

And before you complain about making money to repair the airbag, sorry, that is just how it is.

    6. My challenger has cracks in the airbag seams from me having to use it so much to protect myself from bad drivers.

    7. Just for the driver? I won’t force anyone to protect themselves… that is a personal decision.

    8. The airbag isn’t blown out, the seam for the cover over the actual airbag has come undone. It happens to some cars with exposed UV rays and heat over time.

    9. Interesting, but why is it an issue? i see comments saying ‘i would get out immediately’, but it’s not like the driver’s seat airbag is going to do anything to a passenger if there’s an accident. What am I missing here?

    10. Gotta love the fact that us plebs have to deal with this risk, the driver has to get paid 40% of what they did for the same fare 9 years ago so they can’t afford to fix that, and all while the Uber executives and VC firms get to buy an extra yacht with those savings.

We live in a great system.

Why would a drivers airbag be a concern for a passenger in a back seat? Assuming this model has side curtain airbags, the airbag module would determine what bags would go off and when. This is just someone looking for something to complain about.

That’s likely just a separated flap on the compartment. It happens if you hit the horn hard with your hand too many times.
